Volunteer Community Foresters are meeting with the Raise team to do some site maintenance at Parkview in South Cumbria. This is a practical, hands-on day outdoors focused on maintaining and strengthening the newly planted site.
This session is part of our neuroaffirming Volunteer Community Forester programme. It offers a structured, welcoming space to build skills, spend time outdoors and contribute to long-term woodland creation.

What the day will involve
This session will be focused on vegetation control at a previously planted site. The session will include a short welcome, clear demonstrations of tasks, supported practical work and time to pause or take breaks as needed.
You can expect:
clear guidance and step-by-step demonstrations
a steady pace with space to ask questions
a small team environment with Raise staff on hand throughout

What to bring: Packed lunch, water bottle, warm, waterproof clothing, sturdy footwear suitable for uneven ground.
