Finance & Programme Officer
Salary: £28,500 - £30,500 per annum

We’re looking for a Finance & Programme Officer to support the financial and programme administration of Raise: Cumbria Community Forest.
Raise works with communities, landowners, businesses and partners across Cumbria to create and care for woodlands that benefit both people and nature. Our work combines practical woodland creation with community engagement, skills development and improving access green spaces.
About the role
This role will support the financial administration and monitoring of our Trees for Climate programme, alongside wider programme and organisational administration.
Working across the organisation, you will process financial information, maintain accurate records, support reporting and help keep actions and deadlines on track. You will work closely with the Director, Operations Manager, colleagues and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Programme Administration
Process invoices and other financial transactions.
Maintain accurate financial records, including budget tracker
Liaise with stakeholders about financial information and documentation
Support annual accounts, audits and financial reporting
Support the Director and Operations Manager with programme administration and compliance
Organisational Support
Organise meetings and events, including scheduling, venues, papers and follow-up actions
Maintain organisational calendars, action logs, databases and other key records
Identify opportunities to improve administrative systems and processes
Provide administrative support for grant management and funding applications
Support internal and external communications

What we're looking for
We're looking for someone with experience in financial administration and organisational support who is confident working with budgets, financial records and administrative systems.
We are particularly interested in someone who can:
Maintain accurate records and work confidently with financial information.
Organise tasks, manage deadlines and keep administrative processes on track.
Communicate clearly with colleagues, suppliers, funders and other stakeholders.
Use Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams, and handle confidential information appropriately.
Experience working within a charity, public sector or community organisation, particularly in grant or fund administration, would be an advantage. A relevant qualification in administration, finance, business or a related discipline would also be welcome.
